Welcome to SHINEcast, a youth-led podcast that explores mental health issues for teens. The SHINEcast helps break down stigmas around mental health while sharing the real experiences of today’s students.

On the first episode of SHINEcast, hosts Brianna and Demian discuss our mission of giving a voice to teens in Napa County and the importance of breaking down the stigma around mental health. After discussing their fears and uncertainties about the future and the pressure they feel to make the right choices, they then interview Brianna's big sister, Leslie Ramirez, who shares her experience of life after high school. Leslie discusses the importance of finding your own path and encourages listeners to take risks, try new things, and not be afraid to change career paths.
